Rebecca D. Banks joined our practice in 1990. Her medical degree was received from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida with additional specialized training in gynecologic oncology,reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Tulane University.


Dr. Banks has over 30 years of clinical experience, including working as a registered nurse before completing her medical training as a medical doctor. That deep sense of compassion and patient care is evident in all she does, especially in her interests and expertise in the management of difficult vulvar disorders and special concerns for older women. 


As a previous insulin-dependent diabetic patient herself, she has special interest in educating patients in making healthier lifestyle decisions. She often receives cards and notes from patients expressing their gratitude for her careful attention and understanding.
