Dr. Rebecca Banks, M.D.
Rebecca D. Banks joined our practice in 1990. Her medical degree was received from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida with additional specialized training in gynecologic oncology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Tulane University.
Dr. Banks brings a special level of sensitivity and compassion as she worked as a registered nurse for
several years prior to attending medical school.
Dr. Banks’ special interests include high-risk obstetrics, gynecologic oncology, infertility and breast health services. She most recently has obtained specialized continuing medical education in vulvar diagnosis and treatment modalities.
As a previous insulin-dependent diabetic patient herself, she has had success with our Center for Medical Weight loss programs and has special interest in educating patients on making healthier lifestyle decisions. She often receives cards and notes from patients expressing their gratitude for her careful attention and compassion.

Dr.
Deanna E. Guthrie, M.D.
Deanna E. Guthrie joined our practice in 1994.
She received her medical degree and completed her residency at the
Medical College of Georgia in
Most recently she has
gotten specialized training in and is adept in daVinci Robotic
gynecological procedures. Because of her growing expertise with this
advanced technique she is often sought out as a mentor for other
surgeons. As an OB/GYN, she finds the most gratifying
moments of her practice ranging from delivering a healthy child to
successfully helping an infertile couple to become pregnant. Dr.
Guthrie believes in offering total healthcare to women of all ages
from teens to eighty plus. She looks forward to providing and
encouraging long-term patient – physician relationships.

Dr. Karen T. Greene, M.D.
Karen T. Greene is a native of New York City who joined our practice in 1996. She received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and completed her residence training at the Medical College of Georgia. Voted ‘Intern of the Year’ by the faculty and senior residents at MCG, Dr. Greene continues to bring that energetic spirit to Peachtree City OB/GYN. This is also reflected in her service and participation in the community with presentations on various health topics to local women’s and civic groups while maintaining her commitment to family as a devoted wife and mother of two boys.
Dr. Greene has an avid interest in continuing to advance her considerable surgical skills and is a
proficientsurgeon, utilizing many advanced techniques including the daVinci Robot and urogynecological procedures. She has stated though that there is nothing better than delivering a baby, “even at
3AM one can’t help by marvel at the miracle of life.”

Dr. Mironda D. Williams, M.D.
Mironda D. Williams is a native of Atlanta (with family roots in Americus and Newnan, GA) who joined our practice in 1992. Her medical degree is from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and she completed her residency at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, serving as the Chief Administrative Resident during her fourth year. Dr. Williams has a strong commitment to serve and feels destined to be an OB/GYN physician.
During the last several years she continues to utilize her administrative gifts since the retirement of the practice’s founder, Dr. Rose Marie Schultz. Dr. Williams looks at health from the standpoint of the women’s overall well-being and has a special sensitivity for searching out the root causes for disease. Her surgical interests led her to become skilled in the advanced surgical techniques utilizing the daVinci Robot. Her colleagues and patients feel that she always puts those around her at ease. It is often said to give it to Dr. Williams and she will handle it.

Nurse Practioners (NP's)
In addition to having four board certified
doctors, we have competent Nurse Practitioners (NP’s). They are
registered nurses (RN’s) with advanced academic and clinical
experience that enables them to diagnose and manage acute, episodic
and chronic conditions.
Jan Arrington
Jan Arrington joined Peachtree City OB/GYN in 1990. She received her nursing degree from LaGrange College in 1975. After graduating from nursing school, Jan worked at Tanner Memorial Hospital at Clark-Holser clinic in LaGrange until starting her Public Health career in 1978. She worked in the Public Health sector from 1978
until joining our practice.
While working in the public health arena, Jan saw the much-overlooked need of the younger patients, both pregnant and nonpregnant. She completed her Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgia Southern College in 1985. Jan enjoys treating and education younger patients and is also available for the initial intake appointment of our obstetrical patients. She is based in the Peachtree City office location.
Mary Harper
Mary Harper joined Peachtree City OB/GYN in 1993. She earned her diploma in Nursing from St. Joseph’s Infirmary in Atlanta. She returned to Emory University’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program in 1985 and became certified in 1986 by the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Mary is an active member of the
National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and her interests have evolved and changed over the years, but one thing has remained consistent and that is her ability to educate women.
Whether it is an adolescent with questions about her changing body or a woman entering menopause, Mary’s compassionate, caring commitment to women’s healthcare is very evident. She is based in the Peachtree City office location.
Wanda Nipper
Wanda originally joined Peachtree City OB/GYN in 2000. She is a native of Fayetteville, GA who completed nursing school at Brevard Community College in 1991. After returning to Georgia, Wanda worked as an RN in Orthopedics, emergency rooms and the Health Departments. Working in women’s healthcare, STD’s and Teen Care sparked an interest to become a Nurse Practitioner.
She graduated from Emory’s Regional Training Center Nurse Practitioner program in 1998. From there she worked in Labor and Delivery and in the Postpartum Unit at Southern Regional Medical Center until coming to join our practice. Wanda’s special interest include women’s healthcare, family planning, STD prevention education, teen healthcare and teaching issues for teens and early adulthood. She is currently based in the Peachtree City office location. She will cover both PTC and Newnan offices starting in the summer of 2012.
